Six Months Down!

Hey pups!

I am here writing to tell everyone that I am six months old today!! Yes, six months already! Mom says she can't believe it either. I've had a fun day full of running around the yard with Ally, some yummy canned food, and some rough stuffed animal playing! What a great day!

I am also becoming a big girl - 38 pounds as of right now! Mom feels like I have stopped growing, but I think it's just because she sees me everyday.

Mom and I are at the grandparents for the summer until we move to the mountains. This means I get to run and play tug-of-stuffed animal all summer long with Ally. She really knows how to play! She also knows how to take good naps!

I also wanted to say congratulations to Mom's NC State Wolfpack Baseball team for winning their regionals! GO PACK!

Birds and Bandannas

Less than a week and I am off of "doggie rest" - even though Mom has been really nice in letting me play with Lola and Dixie (two of my friends). I think I am all right. I have only limped once since my vet visit and it was on the opposite leg and only for a day off and on - Mom is for-sure that it is growing pains.

While I am on "rest" I have done a lot of this...

I am just amazed with birds! I could watch them all day long if I didn't want to nap instead! Mom has a feeder out there and those birds are everywhere, all day long! Some times I catch a large bug crawling across the patio, but I zoom in on them only when there are no birds in sight.

So that's what I am up to.

I have another friend, Lexi, she is a boxer as well. Lexi's mom makes really cool bandannas and sells them. See, Lexi was being her boxer self and when some medicine (that wasn't hers) feel on the floor, she took it upon herself to get rid of it - she ate it all. Needless to say she was sent to the doggie hospital and gave her Mommy a huge bill - so her mom makes and sells really cool bandannas to help pay for the bill. Here is the link to her site - she has lots of information (including pictures!). So go!!

I've Been Busy

(That's what Mom wanted me to say when really, she has been the one that has been so busy)

I guess I should let you all know how the throwing up has been. Mom got some advice from the comments (thank you all!!) and started giving me tiny, late night meals. That seemed to do the trick. I am slightly mad that I had to go on the antibiotics and pee everywhere when someone did so much as to smile at me. Either way, I am happy to not be throwing up anymore!

On to bad, but good news. A couple of weeks ago I was finally able to go to the doggie park! I had a blast until the very end when I hurt my front leg. I was limping like an old man and mom had to carry me out of there! She got some advice from a very nice Vet Tech that happened to be there. The lady said I should rest for a few days (no playing! boo!) and see what happens. Well the rest did the trick! After about three days I was walking fine. Then - some limping started back up. This was off an on for a while. Sometimes I was running around no problem and sometimes I couldn't even touch my leg to the ground. Mom finally said that that was enough and we went to the vet yesterday. She gave me a nice massage to try and feel anything that could be wrong. Nothing. She came to the conclusion that it is either a sprain-joint or growing pains (because she said I was the perfect age for those to start). Either way, she gave me some anti-inflammatory meds and no playing for two weeks! TWO WEEKS!!! What am I going to do?

And just for the record, when I wasn't having to rest, I was doing some re-decorating for mom.
I have been turning this...

Into this...

Just popping in to let everyone know I'm still alive and kicking! No worries, mom has been too busy to even let me near her puter. She says I can write all day long tomorrow, so be on the look out!

From My Mom....

Hey everyone, it's Maeby's mom. She is sleeping soundly right now and I didn't want to bother her, but I did want to let everyone know a few things.

Maeby had a vet visit this past weekend. She graduated from her puppy plan and now has all of her shots! We are excited about that. She weighed in at 22 lbs and she isn't even four months old yet! (She will turn four months on Thursday!)

I mentioned to the vet that Maeby tends to wake up in the middle of the night gagging and heaving quite often, but rarely throws up. We aren't sure exactly what this is or why it is happening, but we have some meds and antibiotics for her. The antibiotics are making her a Peeing Machine! We go out to use the bathroom about five times the normal times out. And sometimes (like four times yesterday) she can't hold it to the door and pees in the apartment. Woops. I'm trying to be ok with this because in the beginning it was my fought for not taking her out more and she is just a baby, she doesn't know better. Well, she does know better not to do that in the house, but the antibiotics must make her have to go so bad she risks getting in trouble just to relieve herself. Poor baby. I feel bad, I really do. So, that is were we are right now.

It's been rainy around here (we need it), but Maeby hasn't been able to run around outside and I can see her getting fed up with just playing in the house. So hopefully soon she will be able to take a break from peeing and write a post - until then, you all take care!

**And if any of you mommys and daddys have comments about antibiotics or the gagging, I would love to hear about it!

It's Been a While...

I hope everyone had a good Easter. I did! And the Easter Bunny came to see me!

See, mom doesn't feed me canned food. Only Ally gets the canned food because of "doctor's orders" - but when I go see Grandma, she always makes Ally share her cans with me. Well, I guess since Grandma knew mom wasn't buying any canned food for me right now, she must have told the Easter Bunny to bring me a couple cans. Mom gave me 1/3 of a can this morning. She is only letting me a 1/3 of a can per day. I guess I will enjoy it while it lasts!

I mentioned a while ago that I had a play date with my friend Marley - he is a boy boxer about three weeks younger than I am. We mostly did a lot of this...

But we also made time to share a stick...

And then I ran with it...

And then Marley said, "I didn't want it anyway, huh!" and did this to get me back...

Mom and I both thought he was so handsome! I hope I get to play with him again!

Hey doggie friends! I first want to say that I am sorry for being away for so long and not being able to blog or comment. Mom has been so busy this week ans hast been able to help me blog - but that is all over now!

I have a lot to talk about and hopefully I will be back tonight or tomorrow to tell everyone about everything!

For now, here is a video of me brushing my teeth. I love mom's brush; it feels so good in my mouth. Mom loves the very end of the video - it's my favorite part too!
